Book Review

City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3)City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Clary's off to Idris, the City of Glass, to save her mother. An old friend of her mothers, Madeleine, from her mother shadowhunter days, has reveiled to her the secret of how to save her mother, she's the only person that her mother ever told about what she did to herslef to put herself into a coma. Madeleine has told Clary that to save her mother she musy find a wise, old warlock named Ragnor Fell. Plans are made for them all to go to Idris, but Jace is not happy about it, he doesn't want Clary to go. Jace goes to great lengths to make sure that Clary does not go, but in the end his attempts were useless. Clary is in the city along with Luke who isn't even legaly allowed to be in the city; Simon, who was accidentally brought to Idris, is now in prison; and to top it all off the Clave is strugling to decide what it is that their going to do about Valentine who has disappeared once again and this time with two of the Mortal Insturments.

The adventure continues right from were it left off in the last book, and is just as exciting and suspenseful as all the others in the series. In this book you will uncover even more surprising secrets about all the characters and you will finally get some of the answers that you have been waiting for since the beginning. What will Valentine do next? Will Simon get out of the prison that the Clave is holding him in? Will Clarys mother come out of her coma alive? And what will happen next between Clary and Jace? All these questions and many more will finally be answered.

I absolutly LOVED this book. It was suspenseful, cleaver, smart, adventurous, dangerous, and just all around AMAZING! If you haven't read this book yet and liked the others in the series then your missing out, you definetly have to read this one, you won't be disapointed. And if you haven't read any of the others in the series then you are REALLY missing out, this series is great. I recommend this book to everyone that likes paranormal adventures, but if you don't like paranormal books I would still recommend this one, the series is one of my favoutrite by far.
