My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cleaver, Witty, and Fun!

So, schools out for the summer and Genna Sloane has her vacation all planed out. It's going to be a girls summer, her, her best friend, Amber, and her cousin, Hero. Everything is goin to be perfect she thinks, untile Amber and Hero meet for the first time and the claws come out. They take an instant disliking to each other. So much for her perfect, girls summer. Then to complicate things even more, guys end up in the picture and things start to get out of control. This book shows you that when friend stuck together they can take on anything that is thrown there way.

This is a great book for girls and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a book filled with cat fights, public humilation, teen love, and HOT guys!

Killing BritneyKilling Britney by Sean Olin

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So, Britney thinks that someone is out to get her. First her mother dies on a family rafting trip, then it's her hockey star boyfriend, and it's not going to stop there. Her whole world is spinning out of control. But who could it be that is doing all of this and why? In this book you follow Britney as she tries to figure out who is after her.

I really liked this book, it always had me guessing, and almost everytime I was wrong, but I didn't mind this I liked not knowing what was going to happen next. It was full of twists and turns. One of the best mystery books that I've read yet, and it's ending will leave you speachless!

I would recommend this bok to anyone that loves a good mystery. However, if you have a weak stomach I would recommend that you don't read this book, it can be a little graphic.

The Devouring (The Devouring, #1)The Devouring by Simon Holt

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Okay, so there's these things called Vours, they're evils, demonic creatures and they feed off of peoples fears, and now they're taking over Regina's life. It all started when she came across an old diary called the Devouring at the book store she works at. She has always been into anything that involves horror, movies and books, so she decides to read the diary. She discovers that the diary is about these creatures called Vours that take over peoples bodies on Sorry Night, also known as the winter solstice, her and her best friend, Aaron, decide to see if they can attract these so called Vours. So, on Sorry Night they both face there biggest fears to see if that will work. Regina has a fear of spiders so to face her fear she lets on crawl all over her for one minute. Aaron has a huge fear of drowning, so his task is to stay under the water of Reginas hot tube for one minute, but he is not succsessful. So, after facing there greatest fears and having not attracted these creatures they declare that they do ot exist. But they were not the only ones in the house that night. Henry, Reginas little brother was up in his bedroom all by himself that night. A few nights before his sister had read to him some of the Devouring and so he was terrified to sleep that night. He was scared that the Vours would come for him on Sorry Night just like they did to the boy in the diary. When Henry gets out of bed that night and can't find anyone in the house he is forced to face one of his greatest fears of being all alone at night in a dark house, and this is when the darkness takes him.

"When dark creeps in and eats the light,

Bury your fears on Sorry Night.

For in the winter's blackest hours

Comes the feasting of the Vours.

No one can see it, the life they stole,

Your body's here but not your soul..."

And this is the point where Reginas life beginnins to spin out of control. Her brother is no longer there, he may appear the same, but thats just his body his soul is gone and in its place lives a dark demonic creature. Now Regina has to find away to defet the creature and return her brothers soul to his body, but how do you do this when no one believes that anything wrong.

This book was full of suspence and horror and will captivate you right from the first page, and leve you wanting more when it ends. One thing that I really liked about this book was that it was fast moving and always keept me reading. I would recommend this book to any teens or young adults that loves horror, this book will not disapoint. And don't forget the next book, The Soulstice.

One thing about this book that I was definetly not expecting was the ending, it really surpised me and it took me a while to actually decide what I thought about it. But in the end i think i actually really liked the ending. This is definetly a book that i would recommend to anyone thats into the whole mythical creature, thing like werewolfs.

Shadowland (The Immortals, #3)Shadowland by Alyson Noel

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ever doesn’t know what to do now. She feels like she has ruined everything, it’s all her fault. All she wanted to do was save him, but she never should have listened to Roman. She knew he was trouble, but she still did what he told her to. She added her blood to the elixir meant to save Damen, just because he said it was the only way it would work, but look what has happened now. Sure Damen is alive and well, but she can never touch him, never again. She can’t afford any of their DNA exchanging, if it does he dies. So were does that leave them? Eternal beings, living forever, madly in love, but unable to even be together in any way that involves contact.

Evers plan is to try to get the antidote to the antidote, but that means dealing with Roman again and Damen is dead set against it. He is convinced that anything involved with him will just end with them in a bigger dilemma or worse. He wants to find a way on their own, but she doesn’t want to spend that time or wait that long. So what will she do, does she involve Roman, or do they work it out on there own over time?

In this latest installment of the Immortals series you will get the answer to this question and many more, but you may also find yourself with more questions unanswered in the end then you started with.

I think that this book was much better than the last one. It started off slow and took me awhile to get into it, but about half way through it started to improve. By the end I actually really liked it, and now I want to read the next one that much more. So if you were like me and I bit disappointed with the last book in the series just hold out a little and read this one, and don’t just give up if you not into it at first, it does get better. Also this book has some new characters that are very interesting, and once you meet them you will just want to learn more about them.

The Sweet Far Thing (Gemma Doyle, #3)The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was great and just as well written as the first two, but I was a litle disapointed with how it ended. It had somewhat of a happy ending but I didn't what she did to one of the characters in the end. Eventhough the ending was not what I expected I still recommend this book to everyone, but red the first two first.

I Couldn't put this book down, and i recommend it to all the Libba Bray fans out there.
